mission of the Section on Data Mining is to promote and disseminate research
and applications among professionals interested in theory, methodologies, and
applications in data mining and knowledge discovery.

cluster of sessions during the 2008
INFORMS Annual Conference in Washington DC. On
behalf of the Organizing Committee of the INFORMS-2008 DM Cluster, we would like to invite you to organize sessions
and/or submit presentations. Topics of interest to the DM
Cluster include, but are not limited, data mining research in the areas of
computer science,
database management, information technology, statistics, computing,
operations research, operations management, and applications.
If you are interested in organizing a session, including joint sessions
with other INFORMS Sections, please contact Xiaoming
Huo or Rong Duan with your ideas by March 28, 2008. For more detail, see
